Program Coordinator, Respite Coordinator, Respite Supervisor, Parent Aide, Parent Educational Advocate

Mrs. Cecilia Jungkeit Mullaney is the current Program Coordinator for SPN.

The Program Coordinator's responsibilities are:

  • Oversee all activities of the Solano Parent Network and the Respite Program.
  • Supervise, advise and brainstorm with all SPN staff to solve staff or other issues.
  • Oversee Support Groups throughout the County, acting as a co-facilitator or facilitator as needed.
  • Provide the community with resource information or provide linkage.
  • Provide information on educational issues or works with the SPN Educational Advocate.
  • Advocate and act as liaison within the County and State for families' needs.
  • Oversee the Respite Program for Solano County Mental Health clients. 
  • Supervise the Respite Coordinator, Respite Supervisor, Parent and Educational Advocates.
  • Make public presentations as well as prepare and staff public education/information at community events.
  • Write reports and articles for the SPN a quarterly newsletter, coordinates activities involved with the newsletter formation.
  • Intervene as necessary to assist or facilitate the Respite Program.  This may be presenting information to the Solano County Mental Health clinicians or addressing respite issues with the Children's Program Coordinator for the county.

Ms Alisha Petty is the current Respite Coordinator.

The Respite Coordinator's responsibilities are:

  • Scheduling of daily Respite and group events
  • Transportation Coordination
  • Confirming of scheduled Respite
  • Supervises the Respite Supervisor
  • Staff training, and supervision
  • Case Management intake and discharge
  • Communication w/ family
  • Process all comment sheets incident reports
  • Coordination of weekly events/ planning 
  • Time cards 
  • Updating of client information
  • Generation of monthly reports
  • Tracking of Respite hours per family 
  • Generate monthly newsblurb for respite families.
  • Contribute one article for SPN's quarterly newsletter.
  • Update information on website.
  •  

As Needed Duties

  • Staff Evaluations 
  • Evaluation, formulation and implementation of Respite policies and procedures recently.
  • Development of new procedures and services for Respite families.
  • As needed cohesive work with other Solano County Programs.
  • Recruitment of Respite Staff 
  • Assistance with parenting classes as needed.

Mrs. Lori Norman is the current Respite Supervisor.

The Respite Supervisor's responsibilities are:

  • The Respite Supervisor is an active supervisor during the all group events, monitoring appropriate staff/child interactions keeping attendance, and producing accurate reports about the event.
  • The Respite Supervisor ensures proper child/staff ratios for Finding Your Way support meetings.
  • The Respite Supervisor is an active onsite supervisor at two (2) Finding Your Way meetings per month.
  • The Respite Supervisor keeps abreast of community events, as well as researches outings for the clients and their families.
  • The Respite Supervisor maintains the necessary follow-up with staff for upcoming staff meetings and employee informational changes.
  • The Respite Supervisor coordinates the necessary components for SPN fundraising activities.

Mrs. Rebecca Lawson is the current Parent Aide.

The Parent Aide's responsibilities are:

  • Compile and edit quarterly newsletter
  • Maintain resource library.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate two FYW support group meetings a month.
  • Assist families with advocational needs.
  • Attend county meetings to keep abreast of current policies and practices.

Mrs Ervin is also a Parent Educational Aide.

The Parent Educational Aides' responsibilities are:

  • Be an advocate for parents with Special Educational needs.
  • Assist parents and students to prepare for upcoming IEP.
  • Maintain training for advocating during an IEP.
  • Present basic Special Education information to parents as requested.
